Ector ISD has 100% Highly Qualified Teachers and Teacher's Aides for the 2019-2020 School year
We would like to welcome you to Ector Independent School District's Web Page. Our school consists of approximately 278 students on a K-12 campus.
Ector Independent School District is dedicated to providing the highest quality learning experience in a safe, caring, and nurturing environment to all students. Our students will develop positive moral values, achieve full academic potential, and acquire skills necessary for continuous learning. These traits will provide the tools necessary for graduates of Ector to become contributing members of society, be life-long learners, and be successful in future endeavors.
3rd Grade “PJ Project”
The third grade class is collecting new pajamas to send to the children in foster care in our area.
If you would like to donate a pair or more of pajamas, please send them to Mrs. Vicki’s classroom by December 6th. This pajama drive is a project of Scholastic Books. For every pair of pajamas that are donated, Scholastic will donate a book to the pajama program. Every child deserves a goodnights rest and together we can make a child’s night better. Please consider donating pajamas to our class.
If you have questions, please visit: scholastic.com/pjdrive or firstname.lastname@example.org, or call me at 903-961-2355.
We are in need of substitute teachers. If you or you know anyone that might be interested please pass it along. There is a application on our Job Listings link. Choose the Substitute application to print it out and bring it to the school. You may also pick one up at the school.
2018-2019 Accountability Ratings
The State of Texas has published their 2018-2019 Accountability Ratings. We are pleased to say that as a district Ector ISD rated a “B” overall; however, we will continue to address the needs of our students and continue to strive for excellence. Our students deserve nothing less. For information concerning the accountability rating specific to each campus and area, please go to www.txschools.org.
CASH FOR MY CLASS
Ector ISD is participating in the Cash for my Class at Brookshires. Be looking for a letter coming home with your student(s). We have the cards available at the school for you to pick up if you are interested.
School Messenger is a notification system we use to notify parents of early school closure or bad weather, etc. Notifications can be sent via phone(recorded voice message), cell (recorded voice message or SMS text) or Email. In order to be notified you need to make sure the school has your up to date home phone number, cell phone number and/or email address. Contact Marcia Bush in the Superintendent’s office 903-961-5405. To receive SMS(text) you must make sure we have your current cell phone number in our system, and click here to follow these directions to set it up.
Box Tops for Education
Please save and send your Box Tops to our school. We are going to continue utilizing this program for our school. Please continue to save throughout the school year and send them with your child at anytime. We really appreciate any and all Box Tops we get.
Contact Marcia Bush if you want the information to sign up for Parent Portal. We do not send it home with every student, only by request.
